Sean Connery, the first bond of the James Bond Movies’ franchise, dies at 90 on 31st October, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Micheline Roquebrune and son, Jason Connery.
He was not just an actor, but also a producer. The Scotland born actor was bestowed with Knighthood in 2000, by Queen Elizabeth – II. He was best known for his role as 007 in seven Bond movies, over 21 years. However, he was admired for his role as Jim Malone in “Untouchables” (1988), for which he won Academy Award as Best Supporting Actor. He was also awarded two BAFTA and three Golden Globes.
Before, the breakthrough of playing legendary role as British secret agent, James Bond, he acted in theatre and TV productions. He acted in more than 60 films. Some of them with the greatest directors of all time. His retired in 2006 and his last movie was, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
